Deco Bioglitter® PURE
Deco Bioglitter® PURE is a new generation of biodegradable effect glitter for printing, coating, arts and crafts, and packaging design. The products create a unique opalescent sheen and meet the highest environmental standards. PURE consists of natural, aluminium-free materials and is particularly compatible with water-based formulations – even those with high acid or alkali content and high surfactant use. The PURE portfolio includes various variants: Opal with a pearlescent shimmer, Vivid with an intense metallic sheen and Opaque with a matt finish.

Deco Bioglitter® PURE is a technical product line specially developed for non-cosmetic applications such as printing, coating, arts and crafts, and decoration. The PURE series creates an iridescent effect that has been achieved in a completely new way through the use of natural raw materials – without imitating the structure of conventional plastic glitter.
Certified environmental compatibility
Deco Bioglitter® PURE contains certified glitter particles that are biodegradable – recognised worldwide as the highest award for degradability in fresh water. The particles are designed to decompose quickly and safely in the natural environment, without any aluminium, which is used as a reflective layer in other types of glitter. Deco Bioglitter® PURE is therefore particularly suitable for companies that want to integrate sustainable solutions into their creative processes without sacrificing impressive visual effects.

Technical glitter with sustainable credentials
Deco Bioglitter® PURE offers a unique opalescent glitter effect with natural soft focus and pearlescent colours – completely free of plastic. The particles are specially designed for non-cosmetic applications and impress with their high formulation stability in water, solvent, silicone and oil-based systems.
Certified environmentally friendly
Complies with the requirements of the EU Microplastics Regulation and thus makes an active contribution to reducing microplastics.
Responsible raw material base
The cellulose content comes from sustainably managed wood plantations, preferably eucalyptus, certified according to PEFC™ standards. The raw materials are sourced ethically and in a resource-efficient manner.

Thanks to its high formulation stability, Deco Bioglitter® PURE is compatible with dry, water-based, solvent-based, silicone-based and oil-based systems.
Important note: Not suitable for cosmetic applications such as make-up, body art or festival products.

What is Deco Bioglitter®
Possible uses for Deco Bioglitter® PURE
Horticulture
Deco Bioglitter® is ideal for embellishing flowers and plants. It brings out their natural beauty – with minimal environmental impact. Can be applied by dipping, spraying or sprinkling.
Gift wrapping
Perfect for thermal printing, screen printing or glitter application. Bioglitter® gives gift wrapping paper a sparkling effect – for a special first impression.
Art materials
Fine particles for subtle effects, larger ones for strong accents. Can be used in children’s paints, gouache, acrylic, oil or glitter glue. Biodegradable – but please do not use carelessly in nature.
Coating & decoration
Suitable for decorative dip coatings, glitter coatings or as an effect in clear lacquers and dry sprays. For creative and shiny surfaces.
Textiles
Ideal for fabric printing with a glitter effect. Suitable for flatbed and rotary screen printing as well as glitter application. More environmentally friendly than conventional glitter, even when washed.
Greeting cards
Can be used in thermal printing, screen printing and glitter printing. Bioglitter® adds sparkle to cards – for a lasting impression on any occasion.
