Applications
- Aluminium glitter PU-coated:
- Plastics industry: Particularly suitable for injection moulding processes at temperatures up to 220 °C. Household items are given a granite effect with SiLiglit aluminium glitter in shade 58 black. Metallic effects in sports equipment or plastic housings (e.g. vacuum cleaners, espresso machines, mobile phones) are achieved with shade 50 silver.
- Mixing ratio: 0.5–1.5% glitter by weight of raw material, 50–70% glitter per batch, depending on the desired effect.
- Wallpaper industry: Preferred for the production of striking textile wallpapers.
- Powder coatings: Aluminium glitter is used in powder coatings, especially for furniture and sports equipment coatings.
- Aluminium glitter / mica / flakes, uncoated:
- Decoration: As glitter for shop windows, shop and table decorations, as well as for craft projects and artificial flowers.
- Textile wallpaper: Aluminium glitter in silver 50 with particle sizes of 0.4 mm (2001/50) and 0.6 mm (2002/50) for special effects on wallpaper.
