SiLibeads® Type P PHARMA

Details

Applications
  • Bead beating: Efficient cell disruption for biological samples.
  • Cell disruption: Effective preparation of microorganisms, biofilms, plant samples or animal tissues.
  • Vaccine production: High precision and purity for pharmaceutical applications.
  • Mixing substances: Uniform mixing of pharmaceutical and chemical substances.
  • Mixing insulin suspensions: Homogeneous mixing in insulin cartridges to ensure consistent dosing.
  • Sample homogenisation: Improving the consistency of samples in laboratory analysis.
  • Mixing bead: The pharmaceutical industry is a major area of application for mixing beads. To achieve a uniform mixture of insulin, insulin cartridges contain a borosilicate glass bead that mixes the contents when shaken.
Quality characteristics
  • Precise and freely selectable diameters: Size range from 0.5 to 6.0 mm.
  • Low diameter tolerances: For both individual balls (dK ≤ 20 µm) and lots (dL ≤ 20 µm).
  • High dimensional stability and roundness: tolerance of dMAX – dMIN ≤ 20 µm.
  • Pure and very smooth surface: no adhesions or inclusions, high purity.
  • No air bubbles: very low proportion of beads with air bubbles (dB ≥ 0.5 mm).
  • RTS (Ready to Sterilise): Ready for sterilisation, particularly suitable for pharmaceutical applications in sterile environments
  • Highest purity of glass: Use of borosilicate glass type I in accordance with the Pharmacopoeia
  • Highest safety of production processes: Manufacturing is ensured in accordance with GMP and complies with DIN EN IS0 15378
