Details
Applications
- Agitation balls – mixing balls: Available in sizes from 1.5 mm to 16.0 mm, these glass beads in aerosol sprays ensure that the ingredients are mixed homogeneously.
- Valve balls: To prevent contamination in high-quality bottle contents such as spirits or olive oil, they ensure the purity of the bottle contents.
- Mechanical coating: Used for the mechanical coating of small metal parts using a special plating process (mechanical plating).
- Grinding beads – dispersing beads: Due to their high degree of purity, glass beads have excellent properties as grinding and dispersing balls for the wet grinding of pigments, agrochemicals, pharmaceutical and cosmetic preparations.
- Support material and filter beads in drinking water wells and filter systems: They replace filter gravel in the construction of drinking water wells and in filter systems, for example in swimming pool construction.
Quality characteristics
- Wide range of sizes: Available in sizes ranging from 1.5 mm to 21 mm.
- Low diameter tolerances: Tolerances for individual balls and lots are ≤ 0.2 – 0.5 mm, depending on ball size.
- Purity: No foreign matter thanks to special sorting process.
- Surface quality: Clean and polished surfaces, matt finish also available on request.
- Stability: High stability of the chemical composition of the soda-lime glass used.
- Suitability for contact with food: Suitable for contact with food.
