Our SiLibeads® Type ZY-P PHARMA are yttrium-stabilised zirconium oxide ceramic beads that have been specially developed for pharmaceutical and medical applications and are characterised by extremely high wear resistance.

SiLibeads® Type ZY-P PHARMA consist of high-purity, finely crystalline raw materials with a consistent chemical composition, ensuring minimal contamination of the ground material. The polished, dense surface and high roundness of the beads ensure a long service life and minimise contamination from zirconium and yttrium.

Applications
- Pharmaceutical industry: Suitable for ultra-fine grinding down to the nano range, especially for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
- High-speed mixer: As mixing balls for high-speed mixers in pharmaceutical processes.
- Biotechnology: For biological cell disruption in laboratories and medical facilities.
- Diagnostics: For cell disruption for analysis, e.g. of DNA.

- High density and fine-grained structure: Extremely wear-resistant and durable.
- Polished surface and high roundness: Minimal contamination of the ground material.
- GMP-compliant analyses: Certified measurements, including laser microscopy for surface inspection, guarantee the highest quality.
- Safe for pharmaceutical applications: Sterilisable and therefore suitable for pharmaceutical applications without radioactivity.
- Washed balls: Variants washed in both drinking water and pure water are available. The balls washed in pure water are therefore suitable for ready-to-sterilise (RTS) applications.
