Ceramic components manufactured using conventional ceramic processes often require expensive moulds and/or time-consuming post-processing to achieve the desired geometries. Nevertheless, it is desirable to exploit the advantages of ceramic materials, such as high chemical resistance, wear resistance and temperature resistance, as far as possible.
