Applications
- Grinding beads: SiLibeads® Type SL are specially designed for use in all types of agitator ball mills. They are primarily used for the special grinding of products that place the highest demands on grinding beads, including:
- Magnetic tape compounds
- Corrosion protection paints
- Sensitive grinding suspensions that react to pH changes
- Coatings for thermal paper
Quality characteristics
- Wide size range: Available in sizes from 0.40 to 4.40 mm.
- High size consistency: High proportion of beads in the nominal size range.
- Excellent roundness: Beads with dMIN / dMAX ≥ 0.95 (higher on request).
- Clean and polished surfaces: Low process residues and other impurities.
- Minimal alkali content: Particularly advantageous for wet grinding.
- Wide range of size options: Wide range of different size fractions, including customer-specific special sieving.
