SiLi was founded in 1854 by Sigmund Lindner. Today, our family business is now in its fifth generation and is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of technical glass beads, ceramic beads and decorative glitter.
GROWTH
Continuous expansion and development
Our highly specialised products SiLiglit® and SiLibeads® have always been manufactured in Germany at our Warmensteinach site using processes developed in-house.
We are constantly optimising our numerous manufacturing processes and expanding our production capacities. A new administration and warehouse building was constructed in 1999.
In 2001, we invested in a forward-looking production line for a new ball manufacturing process. Since then, the Warmensteinach site has been continuously expanded.
In 2005, a joint venture was established in China, thereby strengthening our position in the Asian market in the long term. Research and development of new manufacturing technologies is being promoted on a sustainable basis.

Global presence
SiLi products are at home everywhere. A global export network covering over 80 countries, our own sales offices in Manchester and Moscow, and subsidiaries in the USA and China are testament to our growing international presence. This expansion is continuing steadily on all continents, particularly in Asia, making us a global player in a niche market.
