Ecological added value
Sustainable origin of raw materials
Cosmetic Bioglitter® is made from cellulose fibres sourced from responsibly managed, PEFC™-certified plantations. This means that Bioglitter® meets the highest ethical and environmental standards.
Biodegradable – tested and transparent
Bioglitter® decomposes quickly in natural environments, making it an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic glitter. All Cosmetic Bioglitter® products pass the OECD 301 test.
Health benefits
Minimal heavy metal contamination – greater safety
- Bioglitter® contains extremely low levels of heavy metals and is free of antimony (< 0.5 ppm – below the detection limit).
- By comparison, conventional polyester glitter can contain antimony levels of up to 150 ppm. Antimony is a by-product of polyester production and is suspected of being harmful to health, especially when used in cosmetics.
Aluminium-free and FDA-compliant for lip products
- Cormetic Bioglitter® PURE is also aluminium-free – particularly suitable for sensitive skin areas and high-quality cosmetic products

Natural wearing comfort
Bioglitter® is made from plant-based raw materials, making it softer and gentler than conventional plastic glitter. This makes it much more pleasant on the skin and reduces irritation – even on sensitive skin or when used in hair.
The comfort is comparable to the difference between natural fibres and synthetic fabrics: Bioglitter® feels silkier and is perceived as significantly more pleasant by users.
Precise workmanship for maximum skin-friendliness
All Bioglitter® products are precisely cut so that the particles have smooth, clean edges. This not only improves the feel on the skin, but also the visual quality and finish in cosmetic products.
