Cosmetic Bioglitter® SPARKLE creates a brilliant metallic effect that is indistinguishable from conventional plastic glitter. All products comply with EU Microplastics Regulation 2023/2055. The latest generation is stable in water- and solvent-based formulations. With high biodegradability in ecosystems, Cosmetic Bioglitter® SPARKLE remains the most powerful eco-friendly cosmetic glitter range.

Metallic effect glitter
The aluminium layer in SPARKLE and HOLO is extremely thin – around 2,000 times thinner than a human hair. As aluminium is an inorganic metal, it is not biodegradable. Silver would be even more reflective, but it is a biocide and would prevent biodegradation – which is why we have deliberately chosen not to use it.

Cosmetic Bioglitter® SPARKLE meets the cosmetic requirements of numerous international markets, including the EU, USA, Canada, China, Japan, Australia and South Korea. The products contain extremely low levels of heavy metals. They are also free from animal ingredients such as carmine, making them suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Possible uses for Cosmetic Bioglitter® SPARKLE
Eyes
Bioglitter® is suitable for eye make-up and is heat-resistant. Sizes 004 and 006 (≤150 µm) meet the safety requirements for use around the eyes.
Colour Cosmetics
Bioglitter® is approved for cosmetic use worldwide and is ideal for decorative cosmetics. It feels silky and is more comfortable to wear than conventional plastic glitter.
Hair
Bioglitter® is ideal for hair products. It is softer than plastic glitter and therefore more comfortable on the scalp.
Body Art & Tattoos
Bioglitter® can be used as loose glitter with fixing gel or in adhesive tattoos – perfect for creative body art.
Festival & Carnival
