Nature, camaraderie and culinary delights in the Fichtelgebirge
On Saturday, 24 October 2026, we set off on a varied autumn walk through the colourful forests of the Fichtelgebirge. Even though we were accompanied by a light drizzle, the atmosphere was brilliant!
Starting from the Sophiental hiking car park, the tour led via Muckenreuth to the Gänskopfhütte, where a cosy snack provided a boost of energy. We continued through the beautiful autumnal landscape to the Mehlmeisel Wildlife Park. The exciting guided tour, complete with wildlife feeding, was a real highlight! The culinary experience also left nothing to be desired: fantastic, incredibly tasty food and a convivial get-together made the day perfect. After around 15 kilometres, the walk came to a cosy end at the ‘Zum Loisl’ restaurant.
Colourful autumnal woods, exciting encounters with wild animals, excellent food and, above all, the great company made this day an unforgettable experience.
