Installation of a new biomass heating system
In the course of the conversion of our heat and hot water supply to CO2-neutral generation by means of a hybrid heating system, the heating containers were delivered and installed today.
Due to the weight of 36 t of the individual module and the dimensions of 8 m x 3 m x 3 m, special heavy-duty transporters were required for delivery and a mobile crane of the 200 t class for installation.
Two 300 kW boilers and a pellet store for approx. 26 t of wood pellets are currently being installed in the containers, which we will use to cover our heating needs in a CO2-neutral way with regional wood pellets as early as this heating season. In the medium term, this biomass heating system will warm us up in the cold season, while heat pumps, which will also be installed in the next few weeks, will provide comfort during the rest of the year.
